Hey, Erik, thanks for reading and commenting. Sources I have seen credit the album’s arrangements to Ellington and Strayhorn, so yes, Strayhorn worked on arranging all of the pieces on the album.
I retired seven years ago and started listening to a lot of music new to me. Duke quickly rose to the top. 500 years from now he is the one person from our lifetime that people will be certain to still know about.
I read that Strayhorn did all the arrangements on “Masterpieces”, not sure which biography. Anyone know if that’s the case?
